Work on Pemberley Place is well underway, with 72 modern, spacious apartments for over 55s being built in the Lansdown area of the historic city of Bath. Developed by Hanover, in partnership with Bath and North East Somerset Council (B&NES), 29 of the one and two-bedroomed apartments will be offered for affordable rent.
Pemberley Place was officially launched on 10 July, with the ceremony being attended by dignitaries from B&NES, Homes England and Hanover. Students from the neighbouring Abbot Alphege Academy were also there, having created some colourful artwork depicting their vision of older people for the site hoardings.
Speaking at the launch, Chair of Hanover, Dr Stuart Burgess said: ‘Bath is a highly desirable place to live. We hope that this development will offer those living locally the opportunity to benefit from high quality, secure and well maintained properties. The design includes an inviting communal hub to help encourage the wider local community to visit and help make best use of the facilities and services available.’
Designed around an attractive landscaped quadrangle, the new apartments will provide a chance to remain independent by moving to a comfortable, low-maintenance home that’s easier to manage, while not compromising on style and space. With easy access to the city centre for shopping and socialising, Pemberley Place also benefits from having the beautiful Somerset countryside right on the doorstep.
The new homes will offer flexibility to adjust to your changing needs, with access to support if required.
