Quick guide
Homesearch is the Council’s housing allocation scheme. You can choose where you want to live and tell us what sort of home you’re looking for.
Homes are advertised on our website to the housing need groups. They are offered to the people in the most housing need who have been waiting the longest.
If you're offered a property with Curo, you’ll be required to pay your first month’s rent in advance.
This payment is not a deposit—it covers your rent until the next due date.
If you're unable to meet this cost yourself, you may be eligible for financial assistance through Welfare Support or other charitable organisations.
However, this support is not guaranteed, so it’s important to explore these options early to avoid delays.
For advice and support, please contact Passport to Housing at Curo.
