Welcome to Homesearch, the register for social housing in Bath and North East Somerset.  Properties are advertised weekly (Friday to Tuesday) on this website.

You can choose which properties you are interested in and can 'bid' online, by text or phone.  Demand is high and some people have to wait years before getting a tenancy. We can give you advice about other Housing Options.

It is vital that we have up to date information so Please check that your application is correct.  Login using your login reference number and your memorable date (usually your date of birth) and go to the 'My social housing' tab on the left hand side of the page. 

Please note children will only be added to your application if they reside with you for a minimum of 50% of the week. You may need to provide proof of this. Please contact the Homesearch Team if you are unclear.  

Some village properties need you to have a Rural Connection.  If you have a connection to one or more of the parishes in our area please make sure that you have completed the question on your application.

Tenancy fraud

Tenancy fraud is unlawful and in some cases is also a criminal offence. Under section 171 of part 6 of the Housing Act 1996 it is an offence to provide false information or withhold information relevant to a housing application; this could result in a fine of up to £5000. In partnership with local registered housing providers, we are committed to identifying and dealing with Tenancy fraud. Fraud may include giving false information or withholding information to obtain housing as well as sub-letting of properties.
