CHANGES TO HOMESEARCH - Homesearch will change in May 2013.
The main changes are that there will be three instead of four Groups and that applicants who live outside the Bath & North East Somerset area and home owners will be removed from the register on this date (although there are some exceptions to this rule).
We have added some new questions to all Homesearch applications and it is vital that you log in to your application, check that all the questions have been answered and update your information if necessary.
All applications will be re-assessed during the time the website is closed (15 to 21 May) and it is very important that you check your application before then. Please check that your application is correct. Login using your login reference number and your memorable date (usually your date of birth) and go to the 'My social housing' tab on the left hand side of the page.
Any applications that have NOT been updated by 15 May 2013 will be suspended and you will not be able to 'bid' for properties until it has been updated and then verified by us. If you have updated your application in the last few weeks please login to check that it is correct and that all questions have been answered.

Some village properties need you to have a local connection. If you 'bid' for one of these you must phone us immediately on 01225 396118 to tell us about your connection. Local connection forms are not posted to you any more.

Changes to Housing Benefit
From April 2013 social housing tenants who are of working age wil get less help if their home is considered to have more bedrooms than they need. If you won't be able to make up the difference in rent yourself talk to your landlord about getting help. And remember that Homesearch gives priority to people who need to move to a smaller home.
